About Us
The Uttarakhand Tobacco-Free Coalition (UTFC) is a state-level multi-stakeholder platform committed to advancing a tobacco-free Uttarakhand through collaboration, policy advocacy, and public participation.
Formed in 2021, UTFC brings together government departments, academic and health institutions, faith-based organizations, civil society groups, and law enforcement agencies working collectively to strengthen tobacco control efforts in the state.
To sustain its long-term vision, UTFC has been registered as a public charitable trust under the name Devbhoomi Tobacco-Free Coalition, providing it with a formal institutional structure, legal standing, and capacity for resource mobilization.
The UTFC Secretariat operates under Balajee Sewa Sansthan (BSS), Dehradun, with technical support of Vital Strategies, ensuring evidence-based strategies and strong policy advocacy.
