About Us
The Uttarakhand Tobacco-Free Coalition (UTFC) is a state-level multi-stakeholder platform committed to advancing a tobacco-free Uttarakhand through collaboration, policy advocacy, and public participation.
Formed in 2021, UTFC brings together government departments, academic and health institutions, faith-based organizations, civil society groups, and law enforcement agencies working collectively to strengthen tobacco control efforts in the state.
To sustain its long-term vision, UTFC has been registered as a public charitable trust under the name Devbhoomi Tobacco-Free Coalition

625 villages and tourist/religious sites declared Tobacco-Free Zones.

Over 300 schools recognized as Tobacco-Free Educational Institutions (ToFEI).

20,000+ signages installed along religious and public routes under Tobacco-Free Char Dham Yatra.

10,000 CSR-supported display boards established in religious circuits.

250 volunteers deployed during Tobacco-Free Kumbh Mela (2021).

Vision
A Tobacco-Free Uttarakhand where every citizen breathes clean air and lives free from the harms of tobacco — where youth and children are protected from the menace of tobacco, and the overall tobacco burden on society is significantly reduced.

To unite institutions, departments, and communities to create a sustained, people-driven movement for a healthier, Drug-tobacco-free state through awareness, enforcement, and policy convergence.
